After a stroll around the museum (or even without admission) a well-deserved lunch or high-tea can be enjoyed at The Brasserie1653. The lunchroom has stunning views overlooking the monumental courtyard garden which is accessible all year round and houses an atmospheric terrace during the summer months.
You can choose from delicious salads and various richly filled sandwiches. We use local products as much as possible and serve everything from our own dinnerware. Enjoy a typical Dutch smoked sausage sandwich or a tasty goat cheese salad. We try to take into account any dietary requirements as much as possible. Making a reservation is not mandatory, but advised. Reserve your spot by sending an email to events@royaldelft.com.
We serve you a delicious Delft blue High tea! On the table we serve you an etagère with various delicacies. You can enjoy the classic scone with clotted cream and jam, various cakes and petit fours, all in a wintery atmosphere and decoration. Of course there is also a wide choice from our tea selection.
The High tea lasts approximately 75 minutes and can be booked daily.
This lunch is served on a nice painter’s palette and consists of a cup of asparagus soup, a sandwich with toppings of your choice, a warm sausage roll and, as befits Vermeer’s milkmaid, a carafe of milk. Finally, we serve you a nice cup of coffee or tea. Reserve your spot by sending an email to events@royaldelft.com.
