Since obtaining the official status of a museum in the Netherlands in 2021, the ambitious plans for Royal Delft Museum are continued. We want to put even more emphasis on the craft, the production, and the history of the nearly 400-year-old factory. That is why we are currently renovating the building. Among other things, there will be an additional exhibition hall where temporary exhibitions will be held.
Royal Delft is the iconic Delft Blue factory that has been creating Dutch ceramics since 1653. During a visit to the Museum you will discover the complete history of Delftware, but also how it is still made to this very day by craftsmen. The Royal Delft Museum collection is vast and covers many centuries. Besides the historical collection from the own factory, part of the royal collection is on permanent show at the Royal Delft Museum and innvation plays an important part in the story that is told.
A visit to Royal Delft is not complete without an audio- or guided tour. A complementary audio tour is included in the entrance fee when you purchase a ticket. The audio tour is available in 8 languages: Dutch, English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Japanese and Chinese. Would you prefer to visit Royal Delft with a guided tour? Please contact us to inquire what the possibilities are.
