What happens when the spray can of a street artist meets the brush of a Delft Blue master painter? During this special Artist Talk, journalist Jaap van der Doelen engages in a live conversation with street artists Tja Ling Hu, Claudio and Keya Tama.
This talk is not only about the final result, but about everything that precedes it. How does an idea take shape? Where does a work begin, and how do you know when it is finished? The artists reflect on their working methods, visual language, and the choices they make along the way. They guide you into their world and into the connection between their practice and Delft Blue, its tradition, craftsmanship, and the ways in which it has influenced or challenged them.
Throughout the conversation, there is room for personal stories, perspectives, and motivations, allowing you to encounter the artists not only through their work, but also through the way they see the world.
The Artist Talk lasts two hours, including welcome time and an intermission, and offers the opportunity to ask questions. It is a key moment for anyone curious about how art comes into being, from admirers of street art and contemporary art to makers, students, and inquisitive visitors who wish to look beyond the image itself. If you would like to hear the stories behind the work directly from the artists, this is your opportunity.
